The pearls’ shine defines quality. Layers of mother of pearl are reflecting brightness from inside out. The more it shines the better the quality. Many inner shell layers, also known as mother of pearl, is composed of calcium carbonate and conchiolin.

Ideally, the surface of a pearl is perfectly smouth, flawless and shining. Irregularities and distinguished marks of growth can be find on each pearl.

There are many factors which are crucially important when it comes to the form of the pearl.  A factor which has to be considered is the number of years and the position of the oyster and lastly the position of the pearl.

Pearls easily enchant with their variation of color. Differentiations are made in between colors such as white, grey and pink as well as a slightest trace of pink, green and blue.
